1 Overview
The ₹199 matchmaking fee paid to Mindful Dining is a service fee for personality matching, table curation, and event coordination — not a restaurant booking deposit. We believe in being fair. If you cancel early, we'll refund you in full. If plans change closer to the event, we'll find a way to roll your booking forward.
We always want to do right by our guests. If something goes wrong on our end, you will always be made whole. If you need to cancel, please reach out — we'll do our best to help.
2 Refund Schedule
The following table outlines our refund policy based on the reason and timing of cancellation:

3 Cancellation by Mindful Dining
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a dining event in the following circumstances:
- Insufficient number of confirmed bookings to form compatible groups
- Partner restaurant becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, public emergencies)
- Any other circumstance beyond our reasonable control
In all cases where Mindful Dining cancels an event, all confirmed guests will receive a full refund of ₹199 within 5–7 business days, or may choose to roll their booking over to the next available event date.
4 Cancellation by Guest
Bookings must be made at least 7 days before the event date. This ensures every guest has a fair cancellation window and gives us enough time to match you properly.
We understand plans change. If you need to cancel your booking:
- 7 or more days before the event: Full refund of ₹199 within 5–7 business days — no questions asked
- 3–6 days before the event: No refund, but you may roll over your ₹199 fee to the next available event date (valid for 30 days)
- Less than 72 hours before the event: No refund and no rollover — the Big Reveal has already been sent and your table is set
- No-show on the day: No refund and no rollover
To cancel, email us at hello@mindfuldining.app with your booking ID and registered email address. Verbal cancellations over phone are not accepted.
5 Unmatched Guests
Our matching algorithm groups guests based on neighborhood, price tier, and personality type. In rare cases, a guest may not be matched into a table (we call these "stragglers"). If this happens:
- You will be notified by email as soon as the grouping is finalized
- You will be offered a full refund of ₹199 OR a rollover to the next event date (valid for 30 days)
- We will do our best to prioritize unmatched guests in the next available event
6 Refund Process
Approved refunds are processed as follows:
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at booking
- Processing time: 5–7 business days after approval
- Bank processing times may vary — please allow up to 10 business days for the amount to reflect in your account
- Refunds are processed via our secure payment partner
You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been initiated. If you do not receive your refund within 10 business days of the confirmation email, please contact us.

- Include: Your full name, registered email address, and booking ID
- Response time: Within 2 business days
